Product animation
THE BRIEF
Inspired by home and lifestyle brands, we sought to lift standard product photography beyond aspirational stills and basic stop motion with fresh, colourful vignettes combined with subtle and more sophisticated stop motion animation.
By concentrating on three mealtime scenarios; breakfast, light lunch and dinner, we were able to showcase wide product ranges suited for everyday use, depicted in relaxed summertime settings.
OUR PROCESS
Whilst our setup was standard for high quality photography, we elevated each short in the series with more nuanced, ‘motion design’ inspired stop motion animation, which provided smoother, controlled flourishes to movement, by contrast to the rough, low frame rate aesthetic more commonly used in similar productions.
In addition, subtle paper animations were incorporated into each short, emphasizing the clean look and bright colour palettes, adding a touch of unexpected visual interest that set the series apart from typical product photography.
THE RESULTS
Our fast turnaround approach with minimal fabrication provides competitive production timescales with equivalent photographic shoots, but offers far more innovative and eye-catching results.
Stills and additional behind-the-scenes footage can also be provided, extending ROI and offering a wide range of media for social, print or OOH advertising - perfect for food & drink, retail and other seasonal product marketing campaigns.
