VEGAN BATH GREAT FOOD CAMPAIGN

Spice Girls

Vegan Bath's Great Food Campaign aimed to raise awareness of how common plant-based cuisine is in the UK due to our diverse mix of cultures. We used colourful ingredients to cook up a stop motion animation to illustrate - made with saffron, chilli spice and love.

THE BRIEF

Online press and PR agency, Vegan Bath, was on a mission to raise the profile of vegan restaurant, hospitality and retail service providers in the region. Their Great Food campaign sought to raise awareness of well known, popular dishes that are plant-based, highlighting the diversity and commonplace of vegan cuisine available in the United Kingdom.

OUR PROCESS

Several creatives were commissioned to produce a short that would spotlight a vegan dish or cuisine. We were tasked with Indian cuisine, and elected to use the colourful foods common in the cooking to directly illustrate the concept. As dance is both traditional and celebratory in Indian culture, we brought the production to life with stop motion animation dancers, formed with Indian spices. Producing the stop motion animation on glass under-rostrum with digital-assist provided an effective way to meet the limited timescale and budget.

THE RESULTS

Our 30 second ad was one in a series that not only rasied awareness of dishes that are incidentally plant-based and already available in Britain, but also demonstrated that choosing to follow a vegan diet did not have to mean giving up on taste or variety. The Great Food campaign ran on social media and online press outlets, resulting in an increase in subscriptions to the Vegan Bath directory and uptake of other press services.
